During the summer of 2022, I worked as a strategy intern at McKinney. I worked with all the other interns to create a social media and digital campaign to raise awareness and drive participation for Alzheimer's Association's annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in three different locations -Brooklyn, Raleigh, and Durham.
The challenge we're facing is a loss of momentum for the walk and the fight against Alzheimer's.
We saw an opportunity to reach out to a new audience who we named the "empowered educators." They are impacted by Alzheimer's in some way, whether they are a caregiver, or they have a family member with Alzheimer's.
Based on our research findings, we came up with the simple human insight that you can't live with, or care for someone with, Alzheimer's alone.
Community is critical in fighting this disease. So, we developed the strategic idea of building a village. We want to create powerful and meaningful experiences through these walks and envision the crowd as one village.
